Job Description: The Boys & Girls Club of Lynn seeks a dynamic, results-driven, and mission-aligned professional to lead the organization’s resource development and fundraising strategy. Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, the Resource Development Officer will oversee all aspects of fundraising, donor relations, grant management, and special events to ensure the Club’s financial health and sustainability.
This role will lead a team of 2–3 full-time staff including the Senior Grants Manager, Assistant Grant Manager, and Director of Communications & Special Events. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in growing revenue streams, strengthening donor engagement, and securing new funding opportunities across individual, corporate, and foundation giving.

Supervised by: Executive Leadership Team
Hours: Hybrid. In office days, meetings, and events as well as work from home.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement a comprehensive annual development plan aligned with BGCL’s strategic goals and capital campaign priorities.
· Supervise the Resource Development team and provide mentorship, guidance, and performance oversight.
· Oversee all grant activities including writing, submissions, tracking, and reporting to ensure timely and successful outcomes.
· Manage and expand the organization’s donor portfolio, ensuring consistent stewardship and engagement with key supporters.
· Grow BGCL’s two major fundraising events and explore additional event opportunities that align with the Club’s mission and community reach.
· Collaborate closely with the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors on fundraising initiatives and prospect cultivation.
· Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities, donor communications, and financial contributions.
· Analyze trends in philanthropy and identify innovative fundraising strategies.
· Support the $24M “Building to the Future” Capital Campaign by cultivating new relationships and managing pledge fulfillment.
Qualifications and Skills
· Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· 7 years of progressive experience in fundraising, development, or nonprofit management.
· Proven success in grant writing and donor cultivation.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
· High level of organization, integrity, and attention to detail.
· Familiarity with donor database systems (Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or similar).
