What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Development Professional (Afterschool) position at Boys & Girls Club of Johnson City / Washington County?
We are looking to add to our staff team so we can serve more children in our community. We strive to provide a safe and positive environment for children (K-12) from all walks of life.
The Youth Development Professional plans, implements, and supervises members, and evaluates activities and outcomes within a specific program area, supporting our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship. We do this by setting high expectations and providing new opportunities, fun activities, recognizing our club members for their hard work and skills, and by building lasting relationships with staff and their peers.
Applicants must have experience working with children, have high energy, and have a demonstrated commitment to excellence. All applicants are required to have a valid driver's license on their hire date.
Please understand that this is an entry level position with a posted starting pay of $12.00 per hour. Please only apply if you are available to work the number of hours stated at the published starting wage.
For afterschool, the club is open to kids from 2:30-6:30, with the exception of holidays or breaks.
Those wishing to submit an application may do so here on Indeed or from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm at the Boys & Girls Club. For additional information please contact Kayla Reedy, Unit Director at 423-461-4560 ext. 4.
