Reports to: Clubhouse Director
Location: Waiʻanae Clubhouse, HI
Position Type: Part-Time | Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday–Friday (30 hours/week)
Compensation: $20.00/hour

Position Overview
The Youth Development Specialist supports the daily implementation of programs and activities that promote academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character development. This role focuses on building strong relationships with youth and serving as a consistent, positive presence in their lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and facilitating engaging, age-appropriate activities for youth ages 6–17
- Build positive relationships and serve as a strong role model within the Club and community
- Encourage participation and create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment
- Provide guidance that reinforces respect, responsibility, and positive decision-making
- Support program events, outreach efforts, and family engagement opportunities
- Assist with daily operations, program setup, and administrative tasks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality programming
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with youth preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, dependable, and able to connect with youth from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Availability for occasional evenings or weekends as needed
