We’re hiring caring, responsible, and enthusiastic staff to join our licensed after-school childcare program serving children in Kindergarten through Grade 4 in Billerica. Location: Billerica Public Elementary Schools
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:45 PM–6:00 PM or 2:00 PM–6:00 PM Part-time (3–5 days/week) options available
Experience: Must have 6 months experience in a childcare GROUP setting and be 18 (Babysitting, Nannying does not apply towards 6 months expeirence per state regulations)
Overview We’re seeking a dedicated Group Leader to lead a group of elementary-aged children through a fun and engaging after-school experience.
Group Leaders create a safe, welcoming environment and guide daily programming including games, crafts, academics, and outdoor play. This position is ideal for experienced childcare professionals or those studying education or human services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead activities for children ages 6–10 in a positive, upbeat manner
Plan and implement games, enrichment, homework support, and recreation
Serve as a positive role model and maintain group safety
Distribute daily snacks and help maintain program materials
Foster teamwork and inclusion
Communicate with families and staff as needed
Participate in training, meetings, and special events
Other duties as assigned by Site Coordinator Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old
Must meet EEC Group Leader qualifications, including: o High school diploma or GED o At least 6 months of experience working with children in a group setting
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work with children and families from diverse backgrounds
CPR/First Aid certification (training provided if needed)
Must be willing to complete 15 hours of online training within 7 days in order to start in a timely manner (you will get paid for training)
