Job Title: Lifeguard
Reports To: Sports & Wellness Director
Location: Boys & Girls Club of Collier County - Naples
Hours: Weekdays, hours for Summer Camp vary between 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Job Summary
The Boys & Girls Club of Collier County is seeking a dedicated and energetic Lifeguard to join our team for Summer Camp! This role is vital in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for youth of all ages using our aquatic facilities. As a Lifeguard, you will actively monitor and ensure the safety of our members in and around the pool and bathhouse. You will uphold safety procedures, model respectful behavior, and help create an environment that encourages learning, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles. This position requires a strong presence, quick response in emergencies, and the ability to connect with youth in a positive, supportive way.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pool and surrounding areas to ensure member safety and adherence to pool rules.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to all emergency situations.
- Maintain clean, hazard-free aquatic spaces by conducting regular inspections.
- Foster a culture of respect, fun, fairness, and sportsmanship.
- Be a visible, positive role model who supports the emotional and physical well-being of all members.
- Encourage member participation in aquatic programs and support their development in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
Experience & Qualifications
· Must be 18 years or older.
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Current Lifeguard Certification (CPR/First Aid/AED included)
· Ability to climb stairs, stand for extended periods, and lift moderately heavy equipment.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Team-oriented with a passion for youth development Prior experience as a lifeguard is a plus, but not required.
