What are the responsibilities and job description for the Minor Volunteer position at BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS OF TOPEKA?
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Under the direct supervision and guidance (direct line of sight) of an adult (18 years or older) minor volunteer, implements activities with youth ages 5 -12 years old, in program areas of Education and Career Development, The Arts, Sports Fitness & Recreation, Health & Life Skills, Character & Leadership or Specialized Initiatives.
Qualifications:SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- 16 -17 years old
- Good communication/listening skills
- Ability to mentor and motivate Club members
- Patience
Other Requirements:
- Acceptable background check (parent/guardian consent to authorize background check)
- Successfully completion New Employee Orientation & all training requirements
- Minor Volunteer will not work independent from the direct supervision (visual proximity) of an adult staff member (staff member 18 years or older)
