We are hiring for Youth Development Professionals to work with Youth during our Summer Camp held from June to August. Training for the position will begin in May.

Overview
The Youth Development Professional plays a vital role in fostering the growth and development of children and adolescents in a supportive and engaging environment. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about working with youth, providing mentorship, and facilitating programs that promote personal and social development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development, behavior management, and experience working with children in various capacities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging programs that promote youth development through educational activities, sports, arts, and other recreational opportunities.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to youth, helping them build confidence, social skills, and resilience.
- Monitor and assess the progress of individual participants to ensure their needs are being met effectively.
- Collaborate with parents, schools, and community organizations to support the holistic development of youth.
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for all participants by enforcing rules and managing behavior effectively.
- Facilitate group discussions and activities that encourage teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills among participants.
- Document participant progress and provide feedback to supervisors as needed.
Experience
Candidates should possess relevant experience or skills in one or more of the following areas:
- Special education or tutoring experience with children.
- Background in camp counseling or sports coaching.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support youth effectively.
- Experience in childhood development principles.
- Previous roles in babysitting or childcare settings that demonstrate an ability to connect with children.
- Familiarity with Christian counseling methods is a plus but not required.
