Opportunity Overview: HR Analyst Generalist 

Under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Human Resources Analyst serves as the primary resource for HR reporting, analytics, HRIS administration, compliance, and process improvement. This position analyzes workforce data, develops HR dashboards and metrics, maintains the integrity of employee data within Paycom, and provides strategic insights that support organizational decision-making.

The HR Analyst partners closely with Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, and organizational leaders to improve HR processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance the employee experience through data-driven recommendations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Data & Analytics

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze HR metrics including:
    • Turnover
    • Time-to-fill
    • Vacancy rates
    • Diversity metrics
    • Employee retention
    • Internal promotions
    • Compensation trends
    • Training completion
  • Create dashboards and reports for executive leadership.
  • Identify workforce trends and provide recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reports.

HRIS Administration

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Paycom.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Configure workflows, forms, approvals, and business processes.
  • Test and implement HRIS enhancements and system upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot HRIS issues and partner with vendors when needed.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Prepare reports for audits and government agencies.
  • Support affirmative action, EEO, ACA, OSHA, and other required reporting.
  • Maintain HR documentation and audit files.

Compensation & Workforce Planning

  • Support compensation analysis and salary benchmarking.
  • Assist with annual compensation reviews.
  • Analyze workforce planning data and staffing trends.
  • Support organizational structure updates.

Process Improvement

  • Evaluate HR workflows and recommend efficiencies.
  • Develop standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with automation initiatives.
  • Support cross-functional HR projects.

Training & Support

  • Train HR staff and managers on Paycom functionality.
  • Create user guides and documentation.
  • Provide technical support related to HR systems.

Internal & External Collaboration

Internal: Maintain collaborative and mission aligned relationships with Club Service Center staff, Club leaders, employees, volunteers, and HR team members to support a positive employee and youth centered environment. Communicate regularly to provide HR support, share information, address workplace concerns, and help ensure policies, practices, and employee experiences align with BGCKC’s mission, values, and commitment to serving youth and communities across King County.

External: Maintain professional relationships with external vendors, benefit providers, community partners, and other stakeholders as needed to support HR operations and contribute to a positive and inclusive organizational experience.

Basic Qualification 

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, HRIS administration, workforce analytics, payroll, compensation, or HR operations.
  • Experience administering an HRIS and maintaining employee data integrity.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, and analyzing workforce metrics.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualification 

  • Five (5) or more years of Human Resources analytics or HRIS experience.
  • Experience with Paycom or a comparable Human Resources Information System.
  • Experience supporting payroll, compensation, or benefits administration.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience in a nonprofit or multi-site organization.
  • Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, HRIP, or a data analytics certification.
  • Experience leading HR process improvement or technology implementation projects.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

  • Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, HRIS administration, workforce analytics, compensation, payroll, or related analytical roles. Experience within a nonprofit organization is preferred.

  • Experience with Paycom strongly preferred.


Licenses and Certifications:
PHR or SHRM-CP Certification Preferred.

HOURS: Full-time, 40 hours per week | Temporary 6-month contract (non-benefits eligible)

LOCATION: 5 days a week onsite. Primary work location is the Club Service Center located at 220 West Mercer St., Suite 410, Seattle, WA 98119

TRAVEL: No Travel Required

SALARY: $38-$38/HR

All offers are contingent upon passing a thorough background check, including a National Criminal History Background check.

Staff in this position work in an office.  The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.  Club site noise levels can be high.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals (e.g. copier toner, correction fluid, markers).
