Position Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for upholding a professional demeanor in all aspects of the front desk operations at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River, Bullhead City Unit. The overall goal of this position is to help provide an Optimal Club Environment—a safe, positive, and fun environment—for youth ages 5 to 16. This role serves as the first point of contact for members, parents, and visitors, and plays a key part in creating a welcoming and well-organized Club experience.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Greets all members, parents, and visitors in a professional and customer-service oriented manner
- Answers incoming telephone calls, determines the purpose of calls, and takes messages and/or transfers calls to the appropriate personnel; may assist the community with questions related to the Club and/or thrift store
- Accurately clocks members in and out as they arrive and leave for the day
- Receives payments and accurately issues receipts for payments
- Cultivates a positive working relationship with staff, members, and parents/guardians
- Ensures that the front desk area is clean, well-maintained, and attractive
- Organizes and enters data into the membership database
- Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating
- Performs other responsibilities as determined by the Unit Director or Executive Staff
Skills and Knowledge Required
- High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent, plus meaningful work experience closely related to the tasks of the job
- Ability to plan and coordinate multiple and varied tasks
- Knowledge of the Club’s mission, programs, and resources
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service attitude
- Successful completion of a background check and drug test screening is required

Compensation
This is an hourly, non-exempt position with a starting pay range of $15.15 to $16.71 per hour, commensurate with experience.
