What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Coordinator position at Boys and Girls Club of Campbell County?
Primary Purpose:
Coordinates the overall daily operations of the Community Impact Programs with the primary focus on program & grant management, personnel management, and facility management. Supervises all Community Impact Program employees and volunteers. Serves as the main point of contact for parents/guardians of Club members.
OVERALL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facility Management
- Maintain all recreational property, equipment and facility supplies and inventory.
- Conducts monthly safety evaluation of the facilities and equipment and makes recommendations for repairs, upgrades, etc.
- Ensures that the facilities are clean, well-maintained, and attractive.
Personnel Management
- Assists with the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, supervision, motivation, evaluations and dismissal of employees and volunteers.
- Establishes annual performance and professional development goals for individual staff utilizing BGCCC professional development systems.
- Manages the time and labor online system and employee time sheets.
- Assures that all staff abide by and carry out the policies and procedures & crisis management plans of the organization.
Program Management
- Oversees overall site programs and staff for the school year.
- Ensures the development, implementation and evaluation of annual program objectives.
- Ensures that monthly calendars, Club newsletters, photos and flyers of school site events are completed, posted and available.
- Responsible for the coordination, delegation and implementation of Site special events & projects (i.e. Youth Recognition Event, Parent Nights, etc.).
- Supports overall transportation of programs and services.
- Assures that all programs comply with Boys & Girls Clubs of Campbell County policies and procedures, insurance, and lawful requirements.
Partnership Development
- Collaborates with Behavior Specialist to develop and maintain relationships with staff, volunteers, and parents/guardians to manage behavior, disciplinary and health issues, and recognize members for good work.
- Works with collaborative partnerships (other youth serving organizations, members, parents, families, funders and community organizations) to support Club program goals and strategic plans.
- Participate in community school meetings and work with school district personnel as requested.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- Considerable knowledge of: The mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of the Boys and Girls Club of Campbell County
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in staff management and development, human resources, or supervisory roles.
- Experience in providing leadership and overall problem solving, conflict mediation, management, etc.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of computer based skills (Excel, Word, Google Workspace, slides, etc.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, subordinates, Board members, community groups, and other related agencies.
- Has experience in childcare and youth serving organizations
