Position: Support for After School Program at Boylston Elementary School
Reports To: After School Coordinator
Work Year Days: Monday - Friday (varies)
Work Hours: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm (varies)
Accountability Objective: Supervise students in the After School Program at Boylston Elementary School
Responsibilities:
The After-School Program monitor provides supervision and support for students in grades K-5 during the after-school program. Monitors ensure a safe, positive, and engaging environment while overseeing student activities such as homework, play, and enrichment.
- Supervise and monitor students to ensure safety and appropriate behavior.
- Engage with students in structured and unstructured activities.
- Support students with homework, games, and recreational activities.
- Assist with program routines such as snack, clean-up, and transition to new activities.
- Communicate effectively with students and staff.
- Enforce program rules and school expectations in a positive manner.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Ability to manage groups of students in a positive and supportive way.
- Dependable, responsible, and flexible.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience working with children in a school, camp, or childcare setting.
- Ability to foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students.
- Reliability and flexibility to support the needs of the program.
- $25.00 per hour for Paras and Teacher
- $17.00 per hour for High School Students that meet the age requirement of 16 years or older and that have a current work permit.
