The Calibration and Validation Technician is a key role within the Boyle Transportation organization, holding responsibility for equipment installations, inspections, troubleshooting, diagnostics, calibrations/validations and on-site repairs on our fleet of equipment. This position requires participation in ongoing technical and applications support.

$23.00 - $25.00 / hour, OT eligible after 40 hours / week

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Calibration and Validation Technician is a key role within the Boyle Transportation organization, holding responsibility for equipment installations, inspections, troubleshooting, diagnostics, calibrations/validations and on-site repairs on our fleet of equipment. This position requires participation in ongoing technical and applications support.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate and repair mechanical components. Troubleshoot any non-conformances.
- Maintain, test, and repair a variety of instrumentation and company equipment.
- Implement and maintain effective calibration support processes.
- Plan work activities according to the calibration/validation plans
- Design circuits, diagnose and troubleshoot devices
- Perform validation testing on assets
- Perform calibration on test equipment or send for calibration and track and adhere to due
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of test apparatus and peripheral equipment dates.
- Set up test equipment and conduct tests on performance and reliability of mechanical, structural, or electromechanical equipment.
- Perform alarm checks as required by business needs
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to the company manual, SOP policies and emergency action plan.
- Participate in health and safety training as required by the employer.
- Assists in the daily review, diagnosis and disposition of published excursion reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Hardworking, dedicated, and eager to learn while contributing effectively as a team member
- Capable of acquiring a Department of Defense Security Clearance
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- This position does not have any direct reports
- Involves standing, climbing, lifting, bending, kneeling, and working in elevated positions
- Must be able to work in environments with varying temperature, humidity, and other environmental factors
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
