Boyette Pump & Well, a proud member of The Purple Standard, is seeking a driven and experienced Lead Pump Technician specializing in well water systems. This role is responsible for leading the installation, maintenance, and repair of well water pumps and related systems, ensuring dependable water solutions for our customers.
As a Lead Technician, you will play a key role in delivering operational excellence in the field—leading by example, mentoring team members, and upholding our core philosophy: work fast, work clean, and get it right the first time. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and the ability to effectively utilize ServiceTitan to manage jobs, communication, and documentation in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, service, and repair of well water pumps, pressure tanks, filtration systems, and control panels
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and system diagnostics
- Perform detailed system inspections to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and longevity
- Mentor and train junior technicians, reinforcing best practices, safety standards, and technical development
- Utilize ServiceTitan in the field to:
- Manage job assignments, dispatch updates, and scheduling
- Document diagnostics, services performed, and parts used
- Build estimates and present options to customers
- Capture photos, notes, and job summaries in real time
- Collect customer approvals and close out jobs efficiently
- Maintain accurate and complete digital job records to support operations, billing, and customer history
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and company SOPs
- Communicate clearly with customers on system condition, recommended solutions, and preventative maintenance
- Support inventory tracking, truck stock organization, and proper equipment handling
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pump & Well Technician, within well water systems
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components of pump systems
- Experience using diagnostic tools (e.g., ohmmeters) and interpreting system readings
- Experience with or willingness to learn ServiceTitan or similar field service software
- Ability to read and understand schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams
- Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience in a field service environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Relevant certifications or licenses preferred
