Position - Full-time Days-40 Hours/week, with possible overtime as needed. Occasional evening and weekend hours.

The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles seeks a highly motivated and organized person to maintain and monitor the Museum’s buildings, ensuring the safety and security of visitors, staff, volunteers, and collections. Applicants should meet the listed qualifications and requirements.

Qualifications

· Must have valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License

· Basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills.

· Knowledge of basic safety and equipment usage.

· Experience with towing and transporting vehicles.

· Microsoft Office experience (especially Word and Outlook) helpful.

· Ability to work both independently and cooperatively with other staff members.

· Lifting: Floor to Waist 50 lbs.

· Lifting: Waist Level and above 25 lbs.

· Sensory Requirements include: Accurate Near Vision, Accurate Far Vision, Color Determination, Minimal Depth Perception, Moderate Hearing

· Background Clearances (FBI Criminal Clearance, PA State Police Background Check, and Child Abuse History Clearance)

Responsibilities

· Creates and maintains schedules for maintenance and cleaning of Museum buildings.

· Carries out maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of museum buildings and equipment as needed and directed.

· Obtains bids from contractors. Assists in the hiring of contractors and obtaining proper paperwork. Oversees contractors when on site.

· Daily monitoring of facility buildings.

· Schedules annual inspections of various Museum items, i.e. sprinkler system, elevator, security system, truck & trailer.

· Ensures janitorial supplies are stocked.

· Assists with snow removal, weeding, and other outdoor maintenance.

· In coordination with the Events team, ensures supplies are stocked and assists with setup and breakdown as needed.

· Responds to after hour security and fire alarms as appropriate.

· Assists staff and volunteers with moving vehicles and other artifacts.

· Prepares, loads, and may accompany items donated or loaned to the Museum.

· Ensures collection pieces are protected as best as possible from any construction projects or maintenance.

· Attend staff and appropriate committee meetings.
