Responsibilities

• Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial driving equipment with manual transmissions, to transport mail and supplies across assigned routes
• Load and unload packages using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed
• Load deliveries accurately based on route plans, verifying shipment details before departure
• Deliver items promptly to designated locations, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor with clients and staff
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safe operation; report any maintenance issues promptly
• Assist in moving heavy or bulky items within facilities or between locations as needed
• Follow route driving schedules precisely to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing efficiency
• Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, pickups, and route activities for accountability and reporting purposes
• Support warehouse operations by organizing supplies and assisting with inventory management when required

Qualifications

• Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services, preferably with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, moving large or heavy items safely and efficiently
• Warehouse experience including familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment is a plus
• Knowledge of route planning and driving safety regulations
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and move for extended periods during shifts
• Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is advantageous but not mandatory
