BOOKKEEPER

Boyertown Area Multi-Service (BAMS) is a social service agency dedicated to meeting needs and improving the lives of people in the Boyertown School District Area and surrounding communities of Amity, District, Hereford, Pike, Pottstown, and Oley townships. We are an independent non-profit and member organization of the Boyertown Area United Way and the United Way of Berks County. We are also funded by the Berks County Area Agency on Aging, Montgomery County Aging and Adult Services, as well as individual donors, and supported by the community of Boyertown and surrounding areas.

BAMS is seeking a BOOKKEEPER to handle the following responsibilities within our Accounting Department. This is an on-site position.

• Enter bookkeeping data from client records
• Enter invoices and receive payments
• Enter and pay bills
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card, and loan accounts
• Prepare various accounting reports
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Maintain the general ledger and assist with month-end close
• Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and expense tracking
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies

Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven bookkeeping experience
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Trustworthy, dependable, and hard-working
