Role Description

The Fire Sprinkler Sales / Project Manager leads fire sprinkler projects from initial conversations through installation and closeout. This role combines relationship-building, field coordination, and problem-solving to keep projects on schedule and teams aligned. You’ll work closely with contractors and installation crews to ensure projects are buildable, efficient, and executed with precision, taking ownership every step of the way to deliver quality fire protection solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review contracts, specifications, and safety requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Interpret and review commercial construction drawings, shop drawings, and material stocklists for accuracy and constructability.
  • Resolve conflicts among MEP trades, provide on-site engineering support, and attend job site coordination meetings.
  • Meet with AHJ’s, contractors, owners, architects, and other design professionals on project progress.
  • Determine labor requirements and prepare schedules, track changes.
  • Track weekly field productivity, job costs, and method analysis to optimize efficiency and safety.
  • Order and track material, equipment, tools, and other necessary items based on design and/or contract needs.
  • Review time for assigned projects and/or contracts to ensure alignment with project budget.
  • Generate proposals for change orders, RFI’s, and RFP’s; communicate approved items into organizational system(s) and/or to the designated representative for processing.
  • Ensure employees follow all relevant safety standards and procedures, maintaining work environment in accordance with Boyer Fire Protection standards.
  • Assist support staff and facilitate closeout documents to include O&Ms and review as-built drawings for accuracy.
  • Guide less experienced employees in reading construction plans, understanding general construction methods, and project management responsibilities.
  • Travel to construction job sites and office locations as needed (25%-50%), working in varying climates and environments.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Fire Protection, Construction Management, or related field (Associate’s degree considered).
  • 4 years fire sprinkler design experience plus 4 years in commercial construction; or 5 years in a related trade construction role.
  • Successful experience in leading multiple projects, achieving goaled outcomes including profitability while communicating with onsite customers preferred.
  • Previous experience preferred in Procore Construction Management software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High level of self-discipline, motivation, and teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and project objectives.
