Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight & Coordination – Review contracts, specifications, and safety requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Technical Expertise – Interpret and review commercial construction drawings, shop drawings, and material stocklists for accuracy and constructability.
- Field Operations & Troubleshooting – Resolve conflicts among MEP trades, provide on-site engineering support, and attend job site coordination meetings.
- Project Administration – Lead contract administration, scheduling, change orders, material procurement, and quantity tracking.
- Performance Monitoring – Track weekly field productivity, job costs, and method analysis to optimize efficiency and safety.
- Mentorship & Training – Guide less experienced employees in reading construction plans, understanding general construction methods, and project management responsibilities.
- Travel Requirement – Travel to construction job sites and office locations as needed (25%-50%), working in varying climates and environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Fire Protection, Construction Management, or related field (Associate’s degree considered).
- 4 years fire sprinkler design experience plus 4 years in commercial construction; or 5 years in a related trade construction role.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and general computer applications.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- High level of self-discipline, motivation, and teamwork.
- Commitment to ethics, integrity, and safety.
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and project objectives.
