Boyd’s OBX Chevrolet, in partnership with NASCAR Champion Kyle Busch, is looking for an experienced Body Shop Technician who wants steady work, strong pay, and a shop that’s set up to help you succeed. We operate a busy, insurance-driven collision center with consistent workflow — no shortage of work and real opportunity to flag hours. As part of a growing, family-owned dealership group serving North Carolina and Virginia, we’re investing in our facilities, equipment, and most importantly — our technicians. Responsibilities
- Perform body repairs and vehicle restoration, including frame and panel work, dent repair, polishing, and refinishing
- Ensure all repairs meet OEM standards and vehicles are returned to pre-accident condition
- Operate repair equipment such as welders, frame machines, measuring systems, and spray guns
- Follow OEM repair procedures and shop protocols to ensure safe, accurate repairs
- Read and interpret work orders and repair plans accurately
- Coordinate with estimators and parts team to ensure timely and efficient job completion
- Maintain proper care and handling of all customer vehicles
- Perform detailed finish work, including polishing and final quality checks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
- Complete additional tasks as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- 2 years of body shop or collision repair experience (more preferred)
- I-CAR certifications (preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with frame machines and measuring systems
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently and flag hours in a team-focused environment
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Professional attitude and reliability
