SUMMARY
The Facilities Support Technician is responsible for the daily upkeep and maintenance of the company’s physical plant to ensure a safe, clean, and fully operational working environment. This role supports both facility operations and production activities, assisting with equipment and machinery maintenance as needed. The Facilities Support Technician also has the flexibility to assist as a Machine Operator when required, contributing to production continuity and efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Facilities & General Maintenance
- Assist Maintenance Technician with installing, repairing, adjusting, troubleshooting, and inspecting equipment and tools.
- Perform general facility upkeep including structural repairs, basic electrical work, and light plumbing.
- Maintain overall facility cleanliness and ensure work areas are orderly and safe.
- Document all maintenance activities and maintain accurate records and files.
- Support and assist in preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and tools.
- Complete preventive maintenance checklists and associated work order documentation.
Production Equipment Support
- Assist in fabricating guards and safety devices for machinery.
- Collaborate with machine operators to fine-tune machines for production efficiency.
- Provide support and direction regarding proper machine and equipment usage.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies for production equipment.
Other Functions and Duties
- Perform outdoor seasonal work including plowing, shoveling, and grounds cleanup.
- Maintain HVAC systems and related equipment.
- Ensure a safe work environment at all times; follow proper lockout/tagout procedures.
- Identify and recommend improvements to systems, processes, and operational efficiency.
- Support production operations as needed, including assisting with machine operation or hand assembly and any other duties assigned by management
Experience, Education, CERTIFICATIONS, OR Other Requirements
Experience: 2-4 years previous experience preferred in a related field.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Preferred experience with the tools for the job (threading machines, electric snakes, table saw, drill press, etc.)
- Basic trade mathematical skills
- Basic computer skills
- A motivated self-starter who is able to work both independently and as a team player
- Must be able to complete a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check, driver’s license check, physical and drug screen
Certification/License: Valid driver’s license with a clean record, in house training for Hoisting Engineer and Powered Industrial Truck licenses.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
