Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Laser Table Operator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating advanced CNC laser cutting machines and performing precision welding for aluminum and steel projects. Your expertise will ensure that fabrication processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, contributing to the overall success of our production operations. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate laser cutting machines, ensuring accurate programming and precise cuts according to blueprints and technical specifications
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques including MIG, TIG welding to assemble fabricated parts with high quality standards
- Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to guide fabrication processes
- Conduct routine maintenance on laser tables, welding equipment, and hand tools to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators for quality inspection and verification of finished parts
- Fabricate sheet metal components utilizing plasma cutting, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and other machining tools
- Operate material handling equipment including forklifts and cranes to move raw materials and finished products safely within the workspace
- Collaborate with team members on assembly projects, ensuring parts meet quality standards through inspection and testing
Experience
- Three years experience minimum for shop aluminum welding
- Proven experience operating laser cutting machinery with a strong understanding of solidworks programming principles
- Skilled in various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG welding with a focus on precision fabrication
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly procedures
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and quality inspection practices using micrometers and calipers
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, tooling setups, crane operation, and basic math skills required for precise measurements
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to laser operation, welding environments, material handling equipment like forklifts and cranes
