What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Powder Coating Applicator position at Boyce Iron & Steel, Inc.?
EXPERIENCED FINISHING DEPARTMENT POWDER APPLICATOR
$19-$24 PER HOUR
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Attend weekly safety meetings
2. Maintain all safety policies
3. Achieve proper powder coat application
4. Ensure work is completed according to schedule
5. Meet Department quality control standards (adequate ML, pleasant appearance-no imperfections, correct color/finish)
6. Proper daily cleaning of equipment and work area
7. Complete all paperwork and logs daily and turn in required paperwork
Assist with the following (encourages team environment)
8. Clean products to remove dust, dirt, sand, rust or other impurities prior to powder coating
9. Load and unload carts based on best practices to ensure a quality product and quick/efficient production
10. Cure parts at required temperatures and for required time
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Previous powder coat experience is preferred
2. Require minimal supervision to accomplish job
3. Perform work in a team environment
4. Strive to exceed job requirements
5. Basic shop math skills
6. Attention to detail
7. Able to use hand tools
8. Work in non-air conditioned manufacturing environment
9. Able to lift 50 pounds individually and 100 pounds via team lift or equipment
10. Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack (after probation and when supervisor signs off)
11. Standing 8 hours
12. Pushing and/or pulling 100± pounds with a cart
13. Bending and stooping 8 hours
