Position Concept
As the director of our COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) and Climbing areas, you will work with youth from 1st- 12th grade teaching them climbing skills and merit badges as well as life skills like independence, social skills, teamwork, self-confidence and so much more. Plus, you get to make life-long friends, spend the summer in the great outdoors, have an experience that will set you apart from others in future jobs, and have a ton of FUN!
Time/Compensation
Weekend or Week-long camp schedule available from June 1 to July 21
Salary is a daily rate based on experience and responsibilities
On-site housing, meals, and staff shirts provided
Requirements/Skills:
21 years of age
Background check required
Employee needs to be a self-starter and motivated to be able to work independently and together with other staff members. Specific skills and knowledge of merit badges/ classes is not required. Must have current BSA Cope Director certification or willing to obtain at a week long training (travel and fees paid for by camp).
Employee will strengthen their communication skills, time management skills, provide customer service, work with other staff members and youth and be exposed to summer camp operations. Individuals may also gain experience in skills specific to their hired program area, teaching/ instructing, and leadership roles.
Internship credit may be available if needed for degree requirements.

Pay: $75.00 - $100.00 per day
