What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Development Professional position at Boy & Girls Clubs of Deep East Texas?
Youth Development Professionals are responsible for supervising and engaging Club members in meaningful programs and activities that promote academic success, positive character, and healthy behaviors. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with youth, building relationships, and being a positive role model.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all Club members
- Supervise youth ages 6–16 during daily Club activities
- Lead and assist with age-appropriate programs such as homework help, enrichment activities, games, and recreation
- Encourage positive behavior and model respect, responsibility, and teamwork
- Build positive relationships with Club members, families, and staff
- Maintain attendance records and assist with basic reporting
- Follow all Boys & Girls Club policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Assist with special events, field trips, and summer programs as needed
- Maintaining program area
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
