About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, early-bird baker to join our small, dedicated team. We aren't just a donut shop; we are a full-service scratch bakery. In this role, you won't just be pushing buttons—you’ll be scaling ingredients, hand-rolling dough, and mastering the art of the perfect fry and glaze.
Since we are a small team (usually 1–2 people in the kitchen), you will learn every aspect of production. From the first weigh-out to the final clean-up, everyone does everything here.
What You’ll Do
- From-Scratch Production: Mix, scale, and prep doughs and batters for yeasted and cake donuts, muffins, scones, cookies, biscuits, and more.
- The "Full Circuit": Handle the entire lifecycle of our baked goods—rolling, cutting, frying, glazing, and filling.
- Clean-Up: Maintain a clean and organized workstation; we all chip in on the dishes and floor to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
- Inventory: Help track supplies so we never run out of the essentials.
Shift & Schedule
- Start Time: Between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM (most often 4:00 AM).
- Duration: Typical shifts are 8 hours.
- Availability: Weekend availability is highly preferred.
- Seasonality: full-time hours are available.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: This is a starter position. While professional baking experience is a huge plus (and will get you the first interview!), we are happy to train someone with a great attitude and a history of reliability in the food industry.
- Physicality: You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (flour/sugar bags) and remain on your feet for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
- Early Birds Only: You must have reliable transportation to arrive for 3:00/4:00 AM starts.
- Detail Oriented: When you're scaling from scratch, precision matters!
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
