Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to transport frac sand
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals at multiple job sites.
- Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations during all phases of transportation.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with safety protocols.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure trucks are in optimal condition; report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Manage the transportation following strict safety procedures to prevent spills or accidents during transit.
Skills Required
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving for 5 years
- Familiarity with frac sand freight hauling for 6months
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and safety standards for truck driving.
- Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently for route planning and real-time adjustments.
- Skilled in load & unload procedures, including truck loading/unloading, cargo handling logistics.
- Experience with delivery driving across diverse terrains while maintaining safety and efficiency.
- Manual transmission proficiency is required.
- Excellent manual handling skills combined with a focus on safety during cargo management tasks.
