Job Summary:
BOX Partners is seeking a seasoned Domestic Category Manager with deep expertise in corrugated packaging to lead strategic sourcing initiatives across our domestic supply chain. As a key player in our procurement team, you’ll drive cost savings, ensure supplier reliability across six U.S. regions, and oversee a diverse portfolio of packaging categories. The salary is commensurate with experience and starts at $120,000 annually. This position is bonus eligible and dependent upon company goal achievement
Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sourcing strategies for all domestic packaging categories working with Sourcing Specialist

Build and establish relationships with all suppliers holding them accountable to our supplier expectations

Oversee a team of direct reports and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency based on analysis of spend, supply market dynamics, category intelligence and business requirements.

Establish and achieve annual savings goals as agreed upon with VP of Procurement.

Manage a team of sourcing specialists through strategy creation, RFP’s, and contracting

Analyze market indices and trends to inform purchasing decisions

Accountable for correct item set up, cost, supplier assignment, MOQ’s, etc. for over 40K item configurations
Required Skills/Abilities:

Must have established network and strong relationships within the corrugated supplier community

Creative problem solver with strong analytical and communication skills.

A working knowledge of distribution, transportation, and supply chain processes.

Sound knowledge of inventory management principles.

Demonstrated ability to work productively and effectively in a team environment.

Strong skillset in Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Excel.
Education and Experience:

Work History Requirements:
-
8-10 years in sourcing.

2 -3 years leading a team with direct supervision preferred

Packaging experience preferred.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in the supply chain, business, or finance preferred.

Or a related degree with 8-10 years of relevant industry and work experience

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
