Box Elder County has an opening for a 30-hour Seasonal Heavy Equipment Operator at the County Landfill. The Seasonal Heavy Equipment Operator II performs a variety of skilled work in the operation and maintenance of heavy mechanized equipment during landfill operations, all with due regard for the safety of self, other employees and the public. The operator will become SWANA (Solid Waste Association of North America) certified in landfill operations and will be certified in CPR and First Aid Administration. Operator will be required to complete 20 hours of landfill specific training annually and become familiar with the Utah Department of Environmental Quality RCRA subtitle D compliance guide for Municipal Solid Waste Landfills.
This position requires work on Saturdays and some holidays. This position requires approximately 30-40 hours/week for up to 6 months.
