JOB TITLE Assembly Worker
REPORTS TO: Assembly Supervisor
DEPARTMENT NAME: Assembly
FSLA status Non-exempt
1. PRIMARY PURPOSE
Under the direct supervision of the Assembly Supervisor, efficiently performs entry level bow assembly operations. Fully proficient on two job skills. Monitors quality of materials received and performs basic quality checks on final product.
2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives parts and materials for assigned bow assembly activity. Reviews and ensures quality of parts and materials received prior to performing assembly activities.
Loads assembly machines and follows work instructions to complete assigned activity. May use tools and other instruments to complete the assembly process.
Makes adjustments to assembly machines to ensure product meets specifications.
Performs a basic visual inspection of the final product. May conduct manual tests to verify quality.
Reports and describes errors or problems to supervisor or lead.
Keeps tools, equipment and work area clean and organized.
Follows department safety rules and operating procedures.
Responsible for supporting and adhering to company policies and procedures.
3. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned.
4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in general manufacturing work preferred.
- Must be 18 years of older
- Strong attention to detail required
- Proven track record of solid work history required.
- Basic knowledge of archery terms preferred.
- Experience using hand and power tools preferred.
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to work on a fast-paced environment
- Ability to do repetitive work
- Ability to work in a factory climate with cold/hot/wet/noisy/fumes working conditions
- Ability to still stay focused on tasks with multiple interruptions
- Ability to switch tasks often and quickly
- Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with some weeks possibly working up to 55-60 hours
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
- Must be able to read and understand written materials to follow equipment, production and safety procedures and requirements
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Requires ability to be reliable and punctual for showing up for shifts on time and ready to work
