We are seeking a motivated and experienced Triaxle Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a tri-axle truck to transport freight, construction materials, or hazardous goods across various routes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tri-axle truck/ dump trucks, across over-the-road (OTR) routes and local deliveries
- Navigate using GPS systems to follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Transport hazardous materials or dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure optimal safety and operational condition
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations
- Collaborate with dispatchers and logistics teams to plan routes, coordinate deliveries, and address any route adjustments or issues
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tractor-trailer operations and hazardous materials if applicable
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving with flatbed, tanker, or dump trucks
- Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures and cargo handling techniques for freight and hazardous goods
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software
- Ability to handle manual transmission trucks
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and hazardous materials regulations
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance
