Schedule: 2/2/3 3-days (36 hours) one week and 4-days (48 hours) the next week with (no additional mandatory overtime). Weekly pay and scheduled off every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

The cleaning work we do is important to the process of manufacturing and being involved in the results of random QA Swab testing successes and shortfalls to ultimately enable successful audits. We have the opportunity to work in many areas of the plant throughout the shift from an air-conditioned Dog Treats to warmer areas like Extrusion and Coating Mezzanine or the six-story silo platform. In short, we care for the building. We are the eyes and ears of remote areas of the plant reporting mechanical issues and working to protect four legged pets from pathogen contamination. With our eyes on the big picture, we complete Daily routine cleaning, but also work ahead to complete Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Projects. It’s a big plant! Successful candidates possess a stable work history with good employment references; the ideal candidate possessing at least two years in an industrial setting. Must be self-motivated to complete tasks independently or work well as a team. Position requires a positive attitude and taking pride in doing a good job.

Physical Requirements: Requires the proven physical ability to climb multiple flights of stairs and willingness to work safely in elevated platforms at times. Must possess good mobility and flexibility including bending, stooping, twisting and working in hard to reach areas to clean. Requires the physical ability to work in temperatures similar to the outdoors, including additional heat in the summer. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and possess the endurance to work 12-hour shifts.

Requires the motivation to work ahead on daily tasks to give time to weekly and quarterly objectives. Other daily duties include but are not limited to:

-Sweeping, scrubbing and /edge mopping floors, hallways, stairs and rails throughout the plant and warehouse

-Cleaning mezzanine areas without fear of heights and climbing multiple sets of stairs throughout the shift to clean in the secure silo and mill tower areas

-Micro Defense duties: Responding to positive QA Swab test hits with appropriate cleaning procedures

-Changing chemical mats and replenishing cleaning supplies / Utility tasks

-Cross contamination awareness and prevention

-Utilizing portable foamers and high pressure hot water hoses

-Cleaning and sanitizing forklifts, tools and other production equipment

-Operating T5, T12, T17, T20 floor scrubbers and sweepers.

-Assisting with spills on the production lines when needed

-Proper labeling of chemical storage containers

-Stocking and cleaning supply areas / janitorial duties

-Occasional cleaning of break rooms and restrooms
