Position Summary:
Bowman Engineering & Consulting, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Record Keeper to support construction project documentation and compliance. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date project records, ensuring compliance with TxDOT and federal requirements, and serving as a liaison between construction teams and TxDOT personnel. This is a full-time position based in either our Dallas or Austin office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and process construction project records and documents
- Monitor documentation for compliance with state and federal regulations
- Verify accuracy of project records and process payments to contractors for completed work
- Act as a liaison with construction inspectors and contractor staff
- Attend weekly project meetings to provide updates on recordkeeping activities
- Coordinate and communicate with TxDOT Area or District Construction Office personnel
- Organize and maintain electronic filing systems in accordance with TxDOT-approved methods
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in roadway construction record keeping
- Proven experience in the development, implementation, and management of electronic document control, sharing, and filing systems
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- Familiarity with TxDOT documentation standards is highly preferred
