Purpose

Execute assigned projects through administrative, technical, and managerial techniques to ensure successful and timely completion within allocated budget. 



Responsibilities

Leadership and Direction

  • Receive broad guidance from senior-level management relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution. Manage people and processes to ensure effective execution.  Review work produced by staff for quality assurance. 

At the Operational and Company Level

  • Assist with the marketing of the firm’s capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients. 
  • Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements. 

Do the Work

  • Resolve project questions including technical requirements, completion requirements.
  • Research, review, analyze and title; identify defects, with assistance of Project Manager.
  • Serve as liaison between team and Project Manager, giving daily direction to team for success.
  • Assist Project Manager in securing repeat business from existing clients and identifying new clients. 
  • Provide technical assistance in the resolution of design problems including field investigation or inspections, detailed design work, detailed review of design computations done by others and general coordination of design aspects.  
  • Drive the profitability and growth of projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and/or equivalent professional experience required. Industry related right of way work experience and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Five or more (5 ) years of experience in performing aspects of land and right of way acquisition preferred. 
  • General knowledge in aspects of right of way, including team management, project management, acquisition, title, permitting, budgeting, cost forecasting, operation, due diligence, public relations, community outreach and solid understanding of general regulatory and legal issues. 
  • Highly proficient computer skills in various Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as database systems. 
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plan/profiles. 
  • Satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company and a current, valid State driver’s license. 
  • Ability to obtain a real estate license in state, if required.
  • International Right of Way Association (IRWA) coursework or certification as RWA, RWP or SR/WA preferred.


Physical Demands and Working Environment

  • Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
  • Mobility around an office environment.
  • Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Primarily local travel during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required according to the needs of the business.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
