Job Summary:
Bowling Green Nursing and Rehabilitation, a small skilled nursing facility located in the heart of Bowling Green, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a Staff Development Nurse. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing staff education and training programs to ensure high-quality resident care and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and evaluate orientation and ongoing education programs for nursing staff
Coordinate and conduct training sessions, in-services, and competency assessments
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies
Monitor and maintain staff licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements
Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and improve clinical performance
Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
Provide clinical support and guidance to nursing staff as needed
Participate in surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections
Maintain accurate records of training and staff development activities
Serve in an on-call capacity to support nursing operations as needed
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
Minimum of 2–3 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
Prior experience in staff education, training, or leadership strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and clinical practices
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
