Position Overview
The Bowlin Energy Project Manager will work closely with the Working Foreman, Business Unit Manager, and Billing Agents to ensure the project stays both on time and on budget. The Project Manager will be responsible for analyzing each project’s budgeted cost and hours. Communicating project shifts effectively with team members is crucial. The Project Manager will be responsible for creating trip sheets, helping with material accuracy, and forecasting the project costs for the monthly close process. This role requires strong math skills, communication skills, technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Analysis: Maintain detailed project notes that illustrate how a project is progressing. This includes analyzing crew members’ hours, project costs, and project delays.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate and lead project update meetings to ensure alignment with project goals. Send out daily trip sheets to the team.
- Risk Management: Identify and document potential risks that may delay a project and cause project delays or cost overruns.
- Reporting: Provide monthly updates on project status, financial performance, material accuracy, and key milestones to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5 years of experience managing energy or utility projects.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Excellent communication, math, and leadership skills.
- PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
