Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounting Specialist located in Longview, TX. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, reconciling accounts, recording journal entries, and managing general accounting functions. Additional duties may include supporting financial audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and assisting in other finance-related tasks as needed.
This can be an entry-level position provided the candidate has strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities and is a self-starter able to juggle multiple tasks at once.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in preparing Financial Statements and managing Journal Entries
- Experience with Quickbooks and general accounting practices
- Experience with PakEnergy a plus
- Strong Analytical Skills and problem-solving abilities
- Background in Finance and comprehensive understanding of financial principles preferred
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Previous experience in a similar accounting or finance role is preferred
- Accurate and timely preparation of financial reports in A/P, A/R, month-end closing and preparation of books for CPA
- Prepare bank deposits and organize and file transaction documents
- Bank reconciliations
