Job Description

Job Description Summary

Recruits freshmen and transfer students from high schools and community colleges. Makes presentations to student groups. Counsels students and parents regarding the admissions process.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with prospective students, parents, and the community through telephone, email, virtual opportunities, and other channels to promote the university and program offerings
  • Review admissions files for transfer/freshman applications for determination of admissibility in accordance with university policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of applicant information, communication, and admissions decisions within our university system and internal tracking process.
  • Conduct outreach to applicants to verify any application issues, including discrepancies or missing information
  • Evaluate transcripts for admissions and transferability of college credits
  • Respond to student inquiries regarding the admission process and procedures and the transferability of credit and related academic information.
  • Attend recruitment activities as assigned, including college fairs, school visits, and information sessions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Admissions Coordinator

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience with student recruiting in a college/university environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluent in Spanish preferred

Conditions Of Employment

  • Travel in and out of state, evening, and weekend hours will be required.

Salary : $50,000 - $52,000
