Job Overview
Our orthodontic practice is looking for an experienced orthodontic assistant to provide cheerful, superior service to our valued patients. You need excellent interpersonal communication skills in order to contribute to the team, as well as motivate and instruct patients on optimal oral health.
The ideal candidate thrives on organization and understands the value of supporting others. If you are enthusiastic, friendly, and a quick learner, we have an immediate opening for the right person. Radiology license is required.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Taking full patient records: photographs, intra-oral scan, radiographs
- Removing and placing arch wires
- Fitting and seating bands or appliances
- Prepping teeth for bonding procedures
- Educate patients on orthodontic care, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene
- Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Uphold strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in orthodontic assisting within an orthodontic practice.
- Be customer service oriented with an energetic and inviting personality.
- Be an outstanding team player with a willingness to learn.
- Have ability to work with interruptions and to manage multiple priorities.
- Have the ability to maintain outgoing, friendly attitude with patients, parents, and staff even under pressure
- Certification in radiography or dental assisting is required
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 30.0 per week
