Overview
The Bowhead-UIC Technical Services seeks a Technical Writer/Editor to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division.
The selected candidate will work closely with the client analyzing complex technical support assignments, supporting procurements and project financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to R&D program development, in-service support, and occasional procurements of supplies and materials.
- Develop life cycle cost analyses for the Air Burst Munitions (ABM) 30mm project.
- Understand program management concepts to optimize cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Provide technical analysis of documentation for various events and milestone reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree desired in business or technical curriculum.
- A minimum of three years' experience in project/program support, analyzing and evaluating effectiveness in meeting established goals, requirements, and objectives.
- Experience related to Gun Weapon Systems and/or Navy programs.
- Experience developing solutions to solve technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance, and assisting engineers in inspecting products, conducting tests, and collecting data.
- Experience analyzing information, systems specifications, data gathering, and analytical techniques, and systems evaluation methodology.
- Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 15-25 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level.
- US Citizenship is required for Secret clearance at this location.
