Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team. The Tax Preparer will be responsible for accurately preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses. This role requires a strong understanding of tax regulations and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
This position has flexibility to be part time or full time or seasonal, and is an in the office position.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
- Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze financial information to prepare accurate tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations by staying up to date on changes in tax laws.
- Communicate with clients to gather additional information and address any tax-related questions.
- Identify tax deductions and credits to minimize clients' tax liability.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and sensitive financial data.
- Meet deadlines and prioritize workload effectively to deliver high-quality work.
Pay scale - $30-$40/hour, DOE
