Role Description
In this Quality Supervisor role, you will be responsible for various tasks including the quality of products, the correction of returned product, scrap management and 5s practices, audit certifications, and the management of the Quality department and its daily operations. This role is a full-time, non-exempt salary position.
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to the following)
· Maintain and grow the Quality Management System
· Develop and maintain Quality programs/policy/procedures
· Conduct internal audits with team members
· Maintain the ISO 9001:2015 Certification and prepare team for successful audit processing
· Maintain NetSuite and JobBoss E2 Software systems for managing controlled documents in the Quality Management System, with additional management of internal drives Quality folders and documents
· Work with vendors associated with quality and engineering processes
· Interact with customers when necessary
· Collaborate with fellow employees in all matters of Quality (production and leadership)
· Train current and new hire employees on necessary Quality operating protocols and expectations
· Oversee day-to-day operations for the Quality department and supervise a small team of quality technicians/quality engineers/quality inspectors
· Ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately and completely
· Manage and correct time and attendance tickets for accurate payroll and data collection of direct supports
· Compiling Quality-related reports and providing management with updates and progress on metrics
· Adding input to company structure and leadership team as business develops
· Complete special projects/requests as directed by the company upper management team
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills – working with other departments, management, customers, and vendors to smooth flow of operations
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking/prioritizing skills
- Time Management – ensure your team works efficiently
- Ability to cope under pressure, leading to sound decision making
- Basic understanding of health and safety requirements/regulations (MIOSHA & OSHA compliance) preferred
- 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing preferred. Technical training is a plus
- Must have a strong desire to learn, as the business is unique in industry, equipment, and environment
- Physical labor (i.e. bending, squatting, lifting, twisting, crawling, standing)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
