The responsibilities of a Service Dispatcher (production guru) include greeting service employees, listening to their needs, and scheduling production ready appointments as needed in the software system to qualified personnel. Maintain through put of service shop operations and transfers to off-site Fleet operations, while optimizing labor GROSS across multiple jobs. Process prior approvals and service part warranty approvals with technician assistance PRIOR to scheduling work completion. Maintain and help record attendance records, recheck tracking, and priority work options.

Service Dispatcher Responsibilities:
Greet employees promptly
Organize and stage customer vehicle work orders by employee location
Review and record recheck documentation to expedite vehicle follow up needs
Work with management to fine tune scheduler tool and technician skill group priorities.
Establish follow up time accuracy for each work order
Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update service advisors frequently
Verify that the work order job lines are accurate enough for distribution OR return to advisor for amending
Assist service management with documenting add-on repair findings PRIOR to authorization
Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
Ability to identify problems quickly and develop resolutions
Knowledge of various automobile lines and systems
Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager, BDC, assistant service manager, or service technician
Very energetic personality - Positive and friendly attitude
A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization
Personal and professional integrity
Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
Minimum of 1 year in service department
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
Basic computer skills
DMS operating knowledge (Tekion)
High school diploma or equivalent

Assist service management with documenting add-on repair findings PRIOR to authorization
- Update and post publications for technicians to review
- Update and maintain prior approval $ limits and required part list references
- Timely Update and maintain lap top software on all main shop computers (IDS and FDRS)
Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
