Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression
- Collect and process payments, including medical collections and billing procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Qualifacts Insync to update patient information and review documentation
- Handle phone inquiries with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and providing clear information
- Maintain organized medical records, ensuring confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support clinic operations by filing documents, managing patient intake forms, and updating care plans
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and accurate documentation review
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office or front desk role within a medical office
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and office management software
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Experience with insurance verification processes including Medicare and other payers is preferred
- Strong organizational skills for filing, documentation review, and office management tasks
