Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing prescription medications to customers
- Prepare and package prescriptions for delivery or pick-up
- Label and organize medications, ensuring proper storage and inventory management
- Maintain patient records and profiles, including updating information and medication history
- Answer customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate patient care
- Process insurance claims and assist with billing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area
- Adhere to all relevant legal, professional, and ethical standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a certified pharmacy technician program
- Current certification as a pharmacy technician (e.g., CPhT, PTCB)
- Proven experience working as a pharmacy technician (preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, and prescription medications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Proficient computer skills and experience with pharmacy software systems
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
