The Transitional Living Supervisor provides day to day leadership and oversight for a supervised group living home serving adults with serious mental illness (SMI) transitioning to community living. Supervisor ensures safe operations aligned with person-centered care, guiding the team in delivering skills training, medication monitoring, recovery-oriented philosophy, coordination with outpatient care teams, and community reintegration. Responsibilities include staffing and scheduling, training and coaching, documentation compliance, and coordination with internal and external partner.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of the assigned group home, ensuring a safe, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented environment consistent with organizational values of Respect, Integrity, Mission, and Stewardship.
- Oversee resident schedules, skills groups, outings, appointments, and structured activities align to treatment plans and level of care needs.
- Partner with nursing staff to ensure medication monitoring processes follow policy standards.
- Monitor home environment, safety drills, cleanliness, and food services.
- Partner with Director to maintain sustainable budget.
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges to next level of care/community reintegration.
- Participate in care team huddles and staffing conferences with outpatient team, as needed.
- Ensure residents receive person-centered, strengths-based interventions (independent living skills, social skills, symptom self-management, relapse prevention, health navigation, community linkage, etc.)
- Supervise a team of Behavioral Support Specialists and Behavioral Health Assistant, proving clear expectations, daily coaching, and regular 1:1 supervision.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and competency-based training.
- Build a positive, accountable culture. Model professional communication, reliability, and timely feedback. Recognize excellence and address performance issues promptly.
- Maintain professional, prompt communication with residents, family/guardian, Bowen Health staff, and partnering agencies.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support Transitional Living Program staff.
- Occupational Exposure Risk Classification: The normal work routine involves minimal exposure to blood, bodily fluids or tissues.
- The normal work routine has a minimal ergonomic risk for repetitive motion impairment.
- The position may require a minimal amount of physical exertion (bending, lifting, twisting) in the work area.
- Education: Associate degree or sixty (60) undergraduate credit hours, or High School Diploma or GED accepted with a minimum of four (4) years of prior experience.
- Certificate or Professional License: None required.
- Experience: Minimum two years of leadership experience in behavioral health or human services.
- Valid driver’s license and active liability insurance.
- Satisfactory results from criminal and driving record background checks.
