Serving Maine’s Midcoast communities of Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Harpswell, and Topsham, MSAD 75 is home to over 2,350 students and more than 600 faculty and staff members.
MSAD 75 is seeking a Physical Education Teacher at Bowdoinham Community School (.5 FTE) and Bowdoin Central School (.5 FTE) to join our vibrant educational community. Together, we can inspire the next generation of learners and leaders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide maximum physical activity time within class periods
- Teach skills and activities that transfer to physical actively outside of class
- Individualized PE programs that provide an alternative to regular PE programming
- Motivate students to be active
- Promote fitness and teach wellness concepts
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Physical Education
- Valid State of Maine Department of Education Physical Education PreK-12 (510) certification
- A background and/or a valid State of Maine Department of Education Adapted Physical Education Pre-K-12 (515) Certification, preferred
- Valid State of Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) authorization
- Excellent behavior management skills
