Quality Technician
Bowden Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Quality Technician to support in-process and final inspection of CNC-machined parts. This role plays a key part in ensuring our products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement across the shop.
What You’ll Do
- Perform in-process and final inspections of CNC-machined parts to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Work closely with machine operators and engineers to identify and resolve quality issues in real time
- Inspect raw materials, in-process parts, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications, including GD&T requirements
- Use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators
- Document inspection results and prepare reports for the Quality Manager
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
- Support the maintenance and improvement of quality systems through clear communication
- Assist in developing and implementing quality processes and procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety requirements
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional quality or inspection training preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Working knowledge of GD&T and inspection techniques
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proven problem-solving ability and data-driven mindset
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
- Ability to stay focused and accurate under pressure
