CNC Mill / Lathe Machinist
Job Overview
Bowden Manufacturing is seeking experienced CNC Mill and/or Lathe Machinist to support precision machining operations for aerospace, defense, and commercial customers. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who can independently set up, run, and inspect parts while maintaining high standards for quality, efficiency, and safety.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes for pre-programmed production jobs.
- Adjust tool offsets, work coordinates, and machine parameters to ensure accuracy.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Monitor tooling condition and perform routine machine maintenance.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet production goals.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- 5 years of CNC milling and/or turning experience.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, GD&T, and machining best practices.
- Experience with precision measuring and inspection tools.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
