Role Overview:
We are looking for a talented Safety Manager that has a personal and professional interest in executing safety duties on large construction projects. This individual will report to the Safety Director and be responsible for implementing safety processes and functions at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, TX.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate interested in making a positive impact on the largest construction project currently in Texas.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Under minimal supervision, manages, develops and implements ES&H programs.
• Supervises Environmental Safety and Health Specialists assigned to the same project(s).
• Performs work, which involves a variety of functions that require a broad range of expertise and excellent communication skills.
• May be responsible for an ES&H program on a large, specialized, complex project or multiple projects.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, construction, engineering, architecture or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Six (6) years of experience in a relevant role
• OSHA 30-hour Construction
Preferred Qualifications:
• BCSP Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• BCSP Safety Management Professional (SMP)
• NASP Master of Safety Professional (MSP)
• NASP Certified Safety Director (CSD)
• NSC Advanced Safety Certificate (ASC)
• OSHA 500
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
