CNC Machinist Responsibilities
- Operate Mazak, Nakamura-Tomé, Emco/Fanuc, and gear/grinding equipment
- Run lathes and mills, focusing on the turning department
- Diagnose and resolve setup issues, mid-production changes, and production inconsistencies
- Engage in light programming and machine setups
- Contribute to a collaborative work environment by solving production challenges
- CNC machining experience, particularly in aerospace
- Some level of programming experience, including modifying programs as needed
- Self-starter with a strong foundation in machining fundamentals
- Motivated to learn beyond operating a single machine
- Ability to take responsibility and show initiative, especially in a lead role
- 5-10 years of experience in a lead role is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills are preferred
- Aerospace and precision backgrounds are preferred
- Turning experience is preferred
- Leadership potential is preferred
