Geologist CEG LA Responsibilities
- Prepare proposals and geotechnical reports
- Conduct faulting trenching to assess active fault lines and recommend site improvements
- Perform CPT Fault Studies that include shallow groundwater analysis
- Collaborate with grading contractors to facilitate project progress
- Respond to client inquiries and communicate technical concepts in an understandable manner
- Engage with developers, landscape architects, structural engineers, and civil engineers
- Manage projects with minimal oversight while demonstrating responsible judgment
- Support marketing efforts to attract new clients
- Write technical reports and maintain project documentation
- 5-10 years of experience in environmental consulting
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology
- CEG certification or in the process of obtaining it
- Experience with faulting trenching and groundwater studies
- Ability to perform hands-on fieldwork and crawl in/out of trenches
- Proficient in Excel and technologically adept
- Valid California driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for site travel
- Experience working with local and state agencies
- Experience writing phase one and phase two reports is preferred
